The below diagram is a graphic illustration of the radiant energy produced by Thermotex. It was recorded at the astrophysics laboratory at Lethbridge University in Canada.

The graph plots the wavelengths of the energy created by Thermotex and the amount of radiant energy generated. As can be seen the maximum radiant energy is produced from wavelengths between 9 and 10 microns which is within the wavelength band of FAR infrared.

Any wavelength above 5.6 and below 1000 microns is FAR infrared and so it is clear that Thermotex produces the majority of its radiant energy from FAR infrared.

0.076 - 1.5 microns = Near Infrared (NIR);
1.5 - 5.6 microns = Middle Infrared (MIR); and
5.6 - 1000 microns = Far or long wave infrared (FIR).
